What are you running to for help?

Hey beautiful! I have been feeling the pressure of life lately, have you? Things seem to be getting more chaotic each day, but when this came across my facebook memories last week and I knew it wasn't just for me but for you too. 💖 I hope it brings you some encouragement in your day + week and it is a reminder you continue to run back to when things get tough... I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.
-Psalm 34:4-5 NKJV
What are you calling upon or running to when you’re feeling ashamed, fearful, anxious, worried, or upset? 💕 A loved one is great! But they won’t have the ability to deliver you out of your situation, give you peace which surpasses all understanding, or the ability for you to walk in confidence + victory even if nothing changes. 📺 Watching TV, YouTube or scrolling on phone will only numb you + take your mind off the matter for a short time... 🍔 Food can be delivered TO you, but it can’t actually deliver you FROM whatever is bothering you… 💻 And although Google can give you a plethora of advice articles, tips, tricks, and hacks to “live your best life” it’s lacking in the deliverance department as well. Let me be the first to say I’ve been guilty of running to ALL of these things at one time or another to help me in an uncomfortable, hard, or hurtful situation, so I completely understand if that’s you today! You are not alone! But let’s not stay in that place, sweet friend. Because all of the things mentioned above (and everything else we could turn to other than Christ) will fall short of the glory of God + His ability to deliver you out of whatever trouble you’re facing. You don’t have to stay in the continuous cycle of depression, anxiety, fear + worry, shame, or any of the other things that would hinder you from being WHO God created you to be and WHAT God created you to do.
